The hardest nut to crack for any indie musician is getting their music played on the radio. Fortunately, it’s not impossible to get significant airplay on Internet radio, especially if you’re a “niche” artist and can appeal to specialty stations such as those that play Christmas music all year ’round.

Russ’ new CD, In The Holiday Spirit has been fortunate to already get significant airplay on some of the biggest Internet Christmas stations:

The CD has also been submitted to many jazz/standards stations, most of which won’t start playing holiday music until after Thanksgiving.  One of those stations is MartiniInTheMorning.com, who has always been so supportive of Russ’ work.  For the last two years, listeners have voted to include Russ on the station’s annual “Top 100 Christmas Songs,” and hopefully that will happen again this year, especially with the new CD!

Last year, Russ made it to Number 64 – can we get higher this year?
Or even get more than 1 song on the list??

VOTE for Russ and help In The Holiday Spirit  reach a WORLDWIDE audience!

From now until November 25, the station is running their 9th annual Holiday Music Poll.   Every year they ask listeners to tell them their favorite Holiday Songs, then they do all the hard math and count down the 100 Greatest Holiday Songs all Thanksgiving weekend (November 26-29 here in the U.S.).

Please take 2 minutes to go to MartiniInTheMorning.com and enter any of your favorite holiday tunes from Russ’ CDs, and then listen during the Thanksgiving weekend to hear where Russ made it on the Top 100 list!
